We are working to secure the long-term financial stability of Terranu through a community of impact investors<\/strong>. Based on our regenerative values, a \u2018community mortgage<\/strong>\u2019 will allow us to bypass\n exorbitant interest rates that serve to increase profits for commercial banks (current offers for farm loans in Ireland are around 9%). Our dream is to build relationships with people who are investing not only for financial return\n but recognize the other forms of impact<\/strong> they are enabling by lending to us. Such as increased biodiversity, availability of organic food, nature connection and community cohesion.<\/p>\n

We are looking to finance \u20ac230.000 and currently have the first \u20ac150.000 confirmed. An example investment would be in the range of \u20ac2.500 – \u20ac25.000 for a period of 10 years at an interest rate of 3%, or against an in-kind interest.\n Of course we can customize the amount, term, and interest rate as appropriate.<\/p>\n

We voelen ons ge\u00efnspireerd om Terranu op deze innovatieve manier te financieren, ook als een manier om een voorbeeld te zijn voor een gemeenschap gedreven impact financiering<\/strong>. Bij het ontwikkelen van deze strategie hebben we ons laten adviseren door een financieel adviseur met \u00a0>20 jaar ervaring in het financieren van biologische boerderijen, een advocaat in Ierland, en we hebben met een regeneratieve boerderij in Spanje gesproken die vorig jaar met succes een soortgelijke \"gemeenschappelijke hypotheek\" heeft afgesloten.<\/p>\n
